A self proclaimed Accidental Artist who found her way back to art after 20 years.
There is no doubt this was all part of the Lord's plan.
Kristin Snyder Kash. This is me.
An Accidental Artist.
Married to Greg, Mom to Mason and dog mom to Sarge, Hank & Fin. I found my way back to the creative place I loved as a child by accident, unless of course, you believe things happen for a reason…and I do.
A lifetime resident of North Carolina, I attended the same school, K-12, then graduated from NCSU and entered the workforce with CitySearch, then WRAL-TV. I’m a Lover of sunshine, summer, hot weather, laughter, dogs, family, friends, candy, painting, tennis and bright colors, especially yellow.
In 2011, everything changed when my daddy, a retired radiologist turned artist, passed away. He left behind a studio full of art supplies. I was married with a four year old dynamo son, four dogs, a full time job, a broken heart as I just lost my daddy and mom was just diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Life was one big crisis. I left my career to help mom, but it was clear she needed a 24 hr care, so we tried a number of options and landed at a special place for memory care. I started sorting through her house, and found my ADHD kept leading me back to a huge basement studio full of canvases, paint and my daddy’s spirit. I began to paint and it was the escape I needed. I painted a few gifts, then I started to get emails and calls about buying my artwork. That was the birth of House of Kash, home of an accidental artist.
Today, my husband still loves me, my son is heading off to college and of course, I have 3 dogs.
I love sharing the joy of bright and happy art with friends both old and new and to support community foundations that I believe in with artwork for auctions. Needless to say, it has changed by life. .
So today, I am an accidental artist, painting creative and colorful paintings. Landscapes, Seascapes, Animals, Landmarks, Photo interpretations, Abstracts and Dog portraits.
